Damn Scobee almost had that 60 yarder. That would have been hilarious to see the steelers lose on that FG. :p

Jacksonville deserved that game. I'm sure Cowher's chin is going to be in full rage mode tomorrow.

I was kind of hoping the Steelers would lose.

Edit-Not that I really care about the Jags.

Did you even see that last Steeler drive? You can tell me the Jags deserved it after that?

I dunno about the distance, its just one of those "what if" factors. Point is, is that he missed it, of which I could argue that at best it would have bounced in because it was dropping. You should be talking about how he missed that short yardage field goal on his first field goal try of the night...

Rothlispenis has a kicker who can actually kick, The Jags and Leftwich were obviously the better team. (minus Scobee)

A damn near perfect game played by both sides, but sadly it came down to a missed Scobee kick...

Jacksonville shut down the PGH running game, but that's about it. Otherwise both teams played pretty well.

Steelers 11-1, Jags 6-6, yes the Jags are clearly the better team. If you're arguing about during the game, in a game where the Jags probably played a perfect game against the hottest team in the NFL, they still lost after the Jags played near flawlessly by controlling the ball, making very few mistakes (turnovers and penalties) while at the same time the Steelers racked up several key penalties that ended potential scoring drives and kept some Jags drives alive. After overcoming a lousy game against a team unwilling to play any less because you are, the Steelers still win? Yes the Jags were the better team...

Steelers offense looked half decent. If you look at just stats, their defense didn't do all that bad either. They just gave up a bunch of HUGE plays (can you say 50+ yarder to the tight end?).

Their O was decent, yeah, I think the lack of that anchor back (ie 1 rusher with 100+ yards) hurt their production and domination of the clock, which is largely why the score was close.

As far as the those big plays, hats off to the Jags O-line for fending off the Steelers rushes and blitzes, as well as Byron for making the throw to the right guy. Last year the Steelers got burned by a BIG play very often, and as a result they tried ot play too much coverage. This year they are going after the QB to get a LOT more pressure and try and force a bad pass or ultimately get the sack. So far it has worked against everyone except the Jags. Although at the same time, if their rushes weren't working, which seemed more often than they'd like, their secondary was making some good plays, which seemed ever so rare last year.
