For a day and a half now Steam is "too busy" to fill your request. What can I do to get this stubborn thing rolling.

I'm trying to load Dod Source and or Half Life 2

Am I the only one who's not had a problem with steam? Everyone else seems to bash it so much. I decided to fire it up yesterday to update the games before I back them up for moving pc and it updated 3 of my games from 80% updated. Take if you've tried logging in and out or leaving the main window open?

Yup, I've been logging in and out and restarting too. Gives me the same damn thing. I've not had a problem with it in the past though. And yes, I used it without issues.

I'm also able to play any game that I have loaded and even load up Codename Gordon, Half life Deathmatch original etc.

Still won't let me do HL 2 and Dod Source when I had them in the past...

I've not only heard of it, I've experienced it. Reason 10 billion and 1 that Steam sucks.

Checked out the forums - searched my arse off. Ended up deleting a clientblob file that someone else had tried and it worked. Thanks guys.

I've never had problems w/ steam either... so I'm one of the ones that like it :). Now BF2 on the other hand, well we won't go into that.

I've had lots of problems with Steam, but pretty much all of them have been solved by either deleting clientsomething.blob file or reinstalling. Of course, they should still fix it so that the problems never happen in the first place. Also it refused to connect when I was in China, but I searched around and people said just try repeatedly until it works, and voila, on the 15th or 20th try it worked. Ridiculous.

That sucks. Steam had the same problem for me a few years ago, which basically made it so I couldn't play for weeks.

I notice that I can't get into avalanche servers on dod source - and I'll have to double click and find a server like 1 out of say 4 that'll actually let me connect. Maybe it has something to do with the router that I'm on, who knows.
