Its good now (although by good I mean working, right now they've made it more bulky and its still kind of annoying), but I can't vote good because I remember how much hell I used to go through just to play CS. And I mean hell. I can't forgive that. Some of you might remember what I'm talking about. So I have to vote bad.

Good:
-Easy game updating/patching
-Instant purchasing and installing (since preloading is usually an option)
-Lower cost and higher profit for developers
-Lets developers release games on their own without a publisher (*cough* EA sucks *cough*)

Bad:
-Unreliable and sometimes inaccessible offline mode
-Game ownership is somewhat questionable (nearly impossible to resell games--especially if you own multiple games under one Steam account)
-Could set a bad precedent, allowing developers to release half-finished games and slowly release content (think CS:S and DOD:S)

I vote good, since I like what I have seen so far. I could easily change my vote to Bad though if there are abuses to the kind of market Steam has created.
