Steam Wednesday-only Special: Brothers in Arms Hell's Highway $15

Steam is often a little off on their pricing, but strangely I've grown to prefer purchasing over steam than buying the DVDs. I am really terrible at keeping my games organized so steam is a great program for me. I just can't justify using bookshelf or CD/DVD shelf space for games as the only time I need to re-use the disk is when a hard-drive gets fried. So, if it's only $5 I'd probably still go for the steam one, I just wouldn't call it a hot deal compared to the newegg.

Just one question....if the price has dropped so dramatically so quickly, doesn't this mean the game is a steaming pile of crap?

The reviews were generally good. I bit at $10, so of course Newegg promptly lowered it to 8. I can't see not buying it at that price if you haven't played through it yet.

Reccently there have been a host of PC games at retail that have dropped in price fast. This is because PC games are having a harder and harder time selling at retail. Piracy is going up, Steam is going up and they both come at the cost of retail sales.

I bought Race07 retail at Best Buy for $9.xx. So...no. 😛

OK. Just asking. It's just that I paid full price for Far Cry 2 when it first came out, and now it's only 15 bucks. Honestly, that's still too much for what it's worth.

Edit: Couldn't resist. In for a copy. 8.59 shipped. Not bad. 🙂
