steam updating...

How do i turn off that god damn "steam scanning for updates..." everytime i launch steam? Not only is it stupid, but its irritating. If there is an update, let me know. Jebus... :roll:

That's why it scans, to let you know

mine doesn't do that. if there's an update, it downloads it. i never see a screen that says "checking for updates".

If you leave Steam running, it won't bother you with that.
