Cool site for more custom cars. But wish I could just download a huge pack of the selection to save some trouble.

I own TMU:F but to be honest I could easily make do with TMN:F. Stadium is the best mode by far; the handling for the cars on pretty much all of the other modes is just irritating.

Stadium also has the most people playing online and is what's played in tournaments.

Is the Far Cry pack worth it if I haven't played either of them?

$7.49 for the complete pack, how could you go wrong?

Far cry and FC2 have metacritic rating in the mid to upper 80s, which tells me their probably not bad.

I will probably pick up the complete pack for myself and my kids.

I have the first game but not the second. I've heard it's okay, that it has problems, but for $5 maybe it's worth it anyway.

Garbage sale today. FarCry is great but too old at this point, and FarCry 2 is trash.

Guess I'll skip #2. I have enough other games I'd like to play.

My wallet thanks Ubisoft for occupying the sales this week. Practically every one of their games is terrible.

So you're recommending games you haven't played? That's bad :p

First one is pretty goof, though old. Second one is worth $3.30 at most.

I played the far fry demo that was included in an issue of PC Gamer, but that was about it.

Now that I think about it, I was not that impressed with the demo. I stopped playing the far cry demo about 10 minutes into it. I may not get the package deal after all.

When FC was released, I was playing Team fortress classic, and was waiting on half-life 2 and doom 3. So when far cry was released, it really didnt interest me, as I was playing other stuff.

Respawning is the biggest problem with Far Cry 2. Other than that it's a great game. The time I played through it I managed to not let the respawning bother me, but I tried replaying it recently just to try out my new 5870 and quickly lost interest due to the respawning. The Story is good, Graphics are great, Weapons/Fighting are great, plenty of Side Missions and other activities, Maps are huge and very Open, Quick travel avoids a lot of the Respawning and is ok yet limited, Vehicles work well, in short the game could be easily fixed by limiting the Checkpoint Respawns.

far cry 2 was stupid; just a box that you sat in all day long; far cry was great. It is a bit dated I guess but the engine/maps are still far more open than unreal games (like singularity and bulletstorm). OH well. for $2.50 I picked up the steam copy; it starts different than I remember the retail version or maybe my memory is off).

I spent way too much time trying to find a vehicle in Far Cry 2, mostly cuz if I just ran I didnt encounter anything cool for 10 minutes at a time.
Like a sparse version of Oblivion. Or super sparse Fallout 3. You NEED vehicles just to find the cool shit. And finding vehicles was always more pain than it was worth.

Balls to the wall shooters do NOT make for good sandbox play.

Apparently the Steam page is inaccurate. The DRM was patched out.

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1902149

So I read up on the DRM-removal from the forums, and hearing good things overall aboutt he game, decided to go for it - for $5, it's not that big a deal.

Decided to start the DL, and skimmed over the user's agreement: it gives them the right to install DRM on my system, I'm only purchasing the license, not the games itself, I cannot do A/B/C without the consent of Ubisoft . . . WHAT?

Instantly I regret the purchase. No more Ubisoft games for me, thanks. I think I'll stick with games from gog.com from now on. Ugh.

That game was just horrible. Took forever to get anywhere, took 5 rounds from a 7.62 battle rifle to kill skinnies, and they respawned as soon as you drove away. I absolutely hated Far Cry 2.

How is that different from any other Users Agreement for any Software from any source?

Definitely. The first one is incredible. The graphics are a bit dated today but still pretty good. And the game play is great. I played the second one for about an hour and then quit. Just not my thing (it is totally unrelated to the first except for being an FPS).
