Does anybody have any Ubisoft games they *hope* go on sale?/are waiting for? I might pick up Far Cry 2 as well as Might and Magic Messiah, but then again I might not. Other than that....
Petz Catz 2 is going to be hard to resist.....loved the first one.
My one Ubisoft game I would recommend is World in Conflict, and I already own it.

I'd like Silent Hunter 4 and some of the Rainbow 6 and Ghost Recon games. If the first Assassins Creed comes up for $5 I'll grab that as well, played it a console when it first came out and I liked it, I'd like to play it again. Oh and HoM V is the price is right.

Only game I'm really hoping hits a big discount is Trackmania United Forever Star Edition. Under $10, preferably $5. Sold.
May be interested in Zeit 2 & Rayman Raving Rabbids.
I highly doubt any of those will go up for a daily.

I might pick up Far Cry 2 as well
Should have grabbed the 4pack sale back in Feb or March.
Farcry 2. Assassin's Creed 1. Call of Juarez. Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, for <$10. Was a steal.

Judging by selection, & past sales. Looks like we'll probably be seeing another Splinter Cell, HAWX & Brothers in Arms sales.

I'm wondering if I should pick up that Splinter Cell pack now, or wait and see if it comes on sale cheaper later in the week.

Yay! Finally bought RUSE. I was waiting for this for a long time.... RUSE is definitely one of the very best RTS that came out in the last 5 years if not the best.

Note that it DOES NOT include Pandora Tomorrow, which isn't even available on steam at all! So your collection would be incomplete. Precisely the reason why I did not buy this pack.
and I doubt it will drop in price more during the week, because Ubi is money hungry and the last game in the series they still want to charge as much as possible for.

I wonder why Pandora Tomorrow is missing. Kind of annoying that you can get every other game except that one off steam.

Pandora tommorow is a fun game; I played it on Xbox. It's the only Splinter Cell game I've played extensively.

Trackmania is easily one of my favorite games ever. Well worth $10 I've been looking to buy it but couldn't justify the $40 for it. They have a free version called Trackmania nations Forever if you wanted to try it.

Interestingly enough I only own two Ubisoft games: PoP Sands of Time and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. Both came free with an old video card I bought years ago.

PoP was fantastic and I'd play that again.
Splinter Cell started slow and I had a hard time getting into it. But it soon hooked me and had a good story.

I've played the free version a little, and while I enjoyed it, it did get old rather quickly. A lot of the tracks are ridiculously complex, some just plain stumped me. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing. But I did get bored with it fairly quickly. What's so great about the full version of the game that makes it worth buying? I guess more cars and tracks, but I'm fine with the basic car and there are still plenty of tracks in the free version. Do they have collision detection in the full version or is it still basically time trials for multiplayer?

It is just time trials for the races, it also has puzzles and stunt levels. In addition it has several different race types. It isn't just a different car but typically a completely different style of track and the different cars handle very differently.

I really like the game but I could easily see not liking it if you want more than arcadey time trial gameplay.

Was hoping it'd be a bigger discount, and more than just 1 game today.

Trackmania is simply, Hot Wheels on crack.

I'm not going to lie I really like the Time Trial Multiplayer and bought the game primarily to be able to use custom skinned cars in MP to show off to my friends.

As far as tracks getting boring there are an additional 7 environments and themes for the tracks. There are easily 10 times as many tracks and 3 additional game play modes in SP:

Platform which as far as I can tell are try to reach the finish by making difficult jumps and keeping speeds. Your medal is determined by how many times you have to restart.

Stunt: Which awards medals based on jumps and spins you do in your car. Your alloted an amount of time to do them in.

Puzzle makes you lay missing blocks of a track to link all the checkpoints, then drive to the finish line.

Theres also at least 8 pages of "race" tracks.

In MP you get, as I said the ability to use custom cars, ability to not play Freezone servers which I've found have a few neat gameplay ideas like an "RPG" one where you were trying to find a treasure inside of a pyramid and are avoiding traps and such. I mostly play time attack though.

Also free players can only run 5 MP rounds in a row before they're required to sit out a round.

I also like to support developers of a game I really enjoy.

I like the custom tracks servers. I don't know/doubt it's still around. But there was this awesome custom map server based in Chicago. I had alot of fun with their tracks.

From the Steam Forums:
It depends, if you buy United you get seven different environments, the vehicles in each environment handle really differently and it gives you a ton more variety than just the Stadium environment that you get in Nations. If you like to play online a lot though, it seems like there aren’t a lot of United-only servers. Although there are plenty out there, the majority are Nations servers which (I think) you could just as easily join without having to pay for United.

Star edition was a free update to United Forever that added a new single player “Star Tracks” feature. It’s much like the basic single player racing in Nations/United, only with tracks entirely made by users of the editor instead of Nadeo. I think Nadeo hand picked the tracks for this one, but I might be wrong.
The important thing is that it adds a second single player racing campaign with some sweet brand new, but a bit harder/longer, races.
It’s still got all the regular game content. Think of it as an added bonus. So basically in TM United you’ve got:
-Nations’s single player racing tracks from the free TM.
-United’s racing tracks in every enviorment.
-The Star racing tracks, some of the best fan made tracks around, now made into an offical collection for a single player campaign.
