wow, if this isn't one of the shittiest contests I've ever seen...talk about greedy...

So you have to complete objectives each day and most of them require you to own and play a specific game. so if you want to play the contest you have to buy every game in the objectives.

sure, some might not be very expensive but thats beside the point.

How dare someone offer a giveaway based upon achievements within specific games! The nerve ...

Did you actually bother to read anything related to the contest?

- complete any 10 of the objectives to be eligible for entering the contest - one of the objectives today is "setup an avatar". Just by doing that you entered the part described below and also are done with 1/10 of the number of objectives required to enter the big contest.

- complete any one of the current 4 objectives to be entered a chance to win 5 games from your wishlist - yes, the "setup an avatar" one counts too. Meaning I'm also in for that part. And I did nothing (already have an avatar).

- get some TF hats for reaching a specific number of objectives (5, 15, 28)

Looks like fun to me.

I'm sure Valve legalizes it my allowing people to mail in entires through some convoluted method or something. I'm all for these types of contests. I bought the Poker game today because of it and am enjoying it so far.

It is nervy. I'm not sure of the law, but giveaway contests generally require allowing entry for free.

And if you read rules, you would know that you can enter just by setting your avatar on your Steam community page. :hmm:

I like it. A new way of throwing some sales and filling the gap till the holiday sale. Gives extra incentive as well.

There could be some sweet deals come out of this though. It seems games that have objectives in them are all going on sale! ie. Ruse, Poker Night, Chime are on sale and those are the ones with the objectives for the 6 and 7 of December.

I may buy the Chime game just based on the price alone. Never even seen the game until today.

I bought it as it said a mix between Lumines and Tetris...then it started playing Still Alive and I instantly said YES.

Haha, I was hoping it'd be kinda like Lumines... I've played that game (Lumines and Lumines 2) so much on my PSP that it's a bit ridiculous!

Awesome.

1 down... 9 to go... maybe 2 or 3 down as the poker night and chime are very cheap and look like they'd be a quick time filler.

Holy crow - not so easy getting achievement for chime.

Same here.

I still hope that one day they'll update Lumines on steam to have achievements and multiplayer. Doubt it'll ever happen.:\

But then again, it's just not the same when it's not on the PSP. On the PSP I had the luxury of putting it into standby on a long game, on the PC and console versions you have to stick with it the entire way. That wouldn't be too bad, but after an 1+ hour long game, your eyes start to dry out, heh.

Anyway back on topic: Chime is nothing like lumines. That said, it's pretty for for $1.25. It took me a while to understand the rules, but overall it's pretty enjoyable.

Damn... I want R.U.S.E. anyway but I'm already on the bones of my backside.

Could use the credit card I guess and reduce the amount I eat :)

i thought everyone hates civ 5?

They do and I still haven't downloaded it, but I'm confident Firaxis or the community will "fix" many of the issues that core Civ fans are crying about. Once they do, the game will be worth it.

Plus, you're getting it free!

I surprisingly had the achieve for chime when the hunt started. That game is totally worth $2
