The removal of daily deals took all the fun out of it. Used to be new things to look at every 8 hours, now I just have to look at my wishlist once.

I still come across stuff that is highlighted on their daily "highlighted deals". Things I've just missed or forgotten to add to my wishlist. It got tiring after awhile watching for the flash and daily deals, especially because it really made no sense to buy anything until the last day of the sale unless it was a flash or daily deal.

He didn't ask a question, he stated that PayPal leaked when it was starting and what he was looking.
I've already requested this thread be closed.

thanks.
Ok whatever the reason was it wasn't the official steam sale thread we have every year. If you want I close this thread and make yours official if you want 🙂

They don't rotate any more? When did that start? I thought they were still doing it? The main page still refers to "highlighted daily deals." Why do they need to do that if it's just the same prices for 10 days? Also, my wishlist is broken at the moment...it's not showing sale price for a lot games that are on sale...

It's not my thread, I just think it's pointless to have this one, when we had another going already.
Closing it would be peachy.

Thanks.

Give it some time. Steam always needs a few hours to stabilize after the sale starts. They are digital goods they are not going to run out.

BECAUSE THEY WILL STILL FEATURE EXTRA DISCOUNTS

Ubisoft had one day during the last sale where they put an extra discount on their stuff.

It will happen a lot less often, and usually only with big publishers, but it can still happen.

Through July 4th for the Summer Sale. About 10-11 days in total usually.

Thank you. It sounds like people collect games with the intent to play ... but never actually get to play them. Reminds me of gun collecting but without ever taking the gun to the range ...

I prefer to have all my games on Steam these days... just makes my life simpler.

Me too, but you don't have to buy games in Steam to have games in Steam. I buy from greenmangaming, wingamestore, etc. they all sell you Steam codes you add to Steam.

It's like they never learn from their mistakes, they put another sale on and don't provision enough servers and bandwidth and the store goes down, this has happened damn near every sale for the last 5+ years, I'm so sick of them being useless at this.

Alien Isolation collection is $15, not bad. I wish they did the rotation though. Digging for deals kind of sucks. Also Crew The Wild Run edition for $18. Those two should do me. I've been waiting for cheap prices on those.

Nothing that pops out at me at the moment, but I already own most every game that I want right now. Ah well, I can save my money for when games start coming out again that I do want to buy.

Works for me.

omg steam is lagging like hell... :\

too many people either downloading or browsing trailers due to sale.

Man I'm digging deep to find something to actually buy, remembered I passed on State of Decay: YOSE last sale at $12 and...

State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition

Includes State of Decay: Year One, plus Breakdown Year One DLC and Lifeline Year One DLC.

SUMMER SALE! Offer ends July 4
-15%
$29.99
$25.49

LOL. The damn thing was even $7.50 in Feb. I'm not one to jump on the "this steam sale sucks" bandwagon, but this steam sale sucks.

Its not looking great. Hardly any of the front page deals are less than 50% off. I wish Steam's heuristic suggestions were better...

Rocket League hit 40% off, not TOO bad, but I'm not in a hurry to buy either. Have it on XB1, just thought it might be a fun LAN game too. Might wait for the next deal.

sigh... deals arent so great either...

i think i got some games cheaper on cdkeys.com near launch day even...

anyhow... im getting this message left and right.. :\

Thinking of grabbing Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen for $20. Never played on console and I hear it's a decent port with epic/SoC-style battles.
