I really enjoyed reading everyone's opinions on the current sales/general game info etc......when we had it going on regularly.

No one wants to do it anymore after (I think it was) Kaotik stopped? :\

In short, if I remember correctly, Steam dicked him over on a game that he had bought. It kind of soured his opinion of Steam and he didn't feel like promoting them here anymore.

I miss his threads but don't blame him for stopping.

IIRC, Steam didn't actually dick him over. KaOTiK dicked over himself. It sounds like he bought a foreign Steam key from an illegitimate gray-market CD key website, and then the publisher tightened down the region restrictions on those copies of the game, rendering his key useless. Then he got butthurt about it and got mad at Steam, which is why he's not bothering with these threads anymore.

I mean... that's what it sounded like when he explained it. He said something along the lines of "buying a Steam key" from a third-party site, but he was hush about the details. I think he's hiding some parts of the story because there's no way something like that would happen with a legally-purchased version of the game.

If he reads this though, he is free to correct me.

Instead of complaining about no one doing it, why don't you do it? You have access to Steam, just post the daily game sales, and we will comment on them.

Metro Last Light Complete Edition is $5. For those who don't want to wait for Redux.

I'm sorry you viewed it as a complaint as it was only meant to be a discussion thread.

I'd love to do this, but Steam/gaming websites are blocked sites at work.......and yes, this is where I have the time to read up on gaming stuff.
When I get home, I play!! ;)

I grabbed this, been wanting to play it.

Borderlands II is on sale too but I can't decide between GOTY ($10.-) and vanilla ($5.-) version. Is GOTY worth twice the $$ of the plain jane version?

Next time its on sale I highly recommend State of Decay. Its been great fun and I honestly was sad when zombies ate some of my survivors. Definitely get the DLC offer.

M:LL was such a good game, though not quite as scary as the first one. But still awesome nonetheless. Man I bought it for like $6.79 during summer sale, could have saved a couple bucks lol.

I know its not steam but origin has Titanfall for $20 today, seems like a good deal

I was thinking about getting this at some point, but some of the popular complaints seems to be lack of content/maps etc...

Those of you who have this, what do you think?

$20 does look like a good deal!! ;)

Titanfall is a huge amount of fun. And lack of maps is certainly not an issue - the game has plenty of maps to play around in (even more if you get the extra map packs). Regarding weapons, there's very few of them compared to a game like Call of Duty, but this is generally a good thing. Instead of having lots of weapons that vary little from each other, there's just a handful that are very diverse.

The key to having dozens of hours of fun with this game: Play lots of different game modes. Mainly, play Capture the Flag. CTF is by far the most in-depth and entertaining game mode there is. I have almost 100 hours logged in this game now, and I'd wager 90% of that time was spent in CTF.

Don't just stick to Attrition (team deathmatch). If you do, it will get very boring, very fast.

that is exactly what happened to me. i didnt even get to the 1st reset.
the sad thing is that i wanted to play the other modes but as i had to play in the brazil server to get a decent ping i could only play attrition since there was no one playing the other modes :(

I was not that impressed with any of the expansions except the Tiny Tina one which I thought was great, and worth 5.00 by itself.
