With the pending release of the new expansion Divine Wind, Paradox is offering up Europa Universalis 3 Complete for just $4. The Complete version, normally $19.99, includes the base game and two expansions: Napoleon's Ambition and In Nomine .

I picked it up because I've heard great things about this game and I have enjoyed Hearts of Iron 2 and Crusader Kings (not so much HoI3).

I saw it on Steam but it could be offered at the other digital download sites too.

Never played this sort of game. Should I buy it? I liked the campaign map in Medieval: Total War 2.

There's a demo available. Paradox games are very grand strategy oriented. You build armies and move them around, but you don't control your units in battle like you do in TW. Those are run completely by the AI and you just see the end results.

I had to manually install DX9 to get it to launch.. playing now.

It throws a fit because I don't have 128mb of video memory. A 3 year old game with 10 year old system requirements shouldn't be having problems on a computer less than a year old.
