Defense Grid is great. It is well worth the $2. Picked it up last year about this time after my daughter was born - it's a great one-hander 9baby in the other).

I'm waiting to see today's deals first, before going over to my dads and help him work on his car some more.
And to avoid having to deal with his annoying wife.

Is call of duty 4 worth it for the single player only ? Vaguely if I remember the single player campaign was very very short...

Also does assassin creed 2 still require that anal online validation as you play (online during play) scheme that ubi-soft through out there last year ?

COD 4 wasn't all that short.

AC 2 still requires the verification but it has been modified. Not exactly sure how though, but they made it less restrictive.

got JC2 for same price during 75% off sale. Cool game, not big fan of 3rd person POV, but the replayability factor is pretty high, and stunts kick butt.

IIRC they let you restart exactly where you were disconnected at. Before it was at set check points.

JC2 looks awesome. But I'm still on an old xp machine. So these deals on new games aren't very appealing to me. :(
I never got to play the first JC. I tried playing the demo and it was all kinds of buggy, and I heard the full game wasn't any better, so I stopped paying attention to it right there. Never followed up, to figure out if they released patches to fix all the notorious game-breaking issues.

I'd recommend Recettear, its a very solid game. I think its been cheaper before though. Otherwise I'd agree that today was underwhelming.

$15 still seem to much money to me cosidering its mostly a multiplayer game and being 3 years old.

These deals suck....

Today's deals are "warm" - they must've asked scrooge what his favorite games are. :)

I second the recommendation. Don't overlook it if you hates yourself some JRPGs. It's a fun twist on the genre.

Bully wouldn't be bad if I didn't already own it, and I've heard good things about Just Cause 2. RailWorks is tempting, though maybe it'll unlock my hidden railfan and I'll end up blowing hundreds on DLC....

I have wanted railworks for a while, but not at $40. $6 is much better.

Excellent game but the people left at this point are the diehards. I haven't played it in months even though it was one of my top games of all time. For 2.50 I guess why not, although I got mine with the Orange box.

I bought JC2 at that price last week. Awesome game! It scales impressively well so you can still play it on older stuff or new stuff and have it look quite good. Too much fun stuff to do in that game and there's a ton of Easter eggs to go find!

Very good. Somewhat arcady at times, but not like TF2 is. Good shooting mechanics and possible team play are both good. Depends on the server, but custom maps/mods really make this game great. I paid 30 for it the day it came out. Well worth 2.50 as people still play it a lot.

I upgraded my computer a couple time exclusively for this game and CS:S.

Bully is a pretty good R* game on the consoles. If it wasn't such an awful port that would be a pretty solid deal.
