Steam Performance on OS X?

How is it for you guys? Mine is atrocious. Only tested one game....plays 1440x900 on high in bootcamp and lags in 800 x 600 on low in os x....left for dead 2...is this normal?
 
Hmm.. well.. doesn't seem to be that bad for me. I was able to play pretty well on the campaign "Dead Center" at 1280x720.. mostly high everything. I did turn the film grain off though, so that may have accounted for it.
 
Decent for me, though I've only played CS:S on my 27" iMac. I thought the high res would kill it, but it didn't.

Yes it is much slower in osx. At least its there?
 
It's great for me. 768mb 8800GTX video card, 10.6.4 with latest updates, 3.2ghz Core 2 Quad, 8GB RAM. 1920x1200 at High settings for the Half Life series.

Just wish I had more free time to play 😀
 
Runs fine on my MBP. It's by now means a super quick God machine, but L4D2 runs just fine with decent graphics.
