It is very forward thinking in a few directions. I'm more likely to buy a game I know I can use on windows or mac because I don't know what computer I'll be using in 3 years. If I know buying from steam means both windows and OSX versions (in the case of games with OSX versions) I will be buying from steam.

Nothing frustrates me more then buying a windows game like dragon age, to see a mac version get released and have to buy it again to get it.

Not to mention how close OSX is to linux. It positions them to move to any OS that supports openGL at any time. Be it console or computer.

the gts250 / 4850 level is the minimum i consider to provide an enjoyable level of performance. i enjoy high resolutions and smooth framerates.

imacs now have a radeon 4670

mac pros now offer gt120 (!) standard, 4870 optional, no longer offered is the gtx285

Obviously it's not fine if you have to troll like this. That level of performance is fine for Source games. Having fun doesn't necessarily have to do with e-peen.

I mean, there's a lot of reasons why Apple sucks, but Steam coming onto OS X is not one of them. It's a good thing for everyone. A larger gaming community for core PC games is *good* if you want to see more of them.

whatever, keep making stuff up

All I know is I play just find, with smooth frame rates at 1900 resolution on my macbook pro.

I don't need a mac pro.
