I think a lot of people spent less this christmas than last christmas, but that's because there was less out there that people wanted if they had already stocked up on the classics over the last few years. What games did you want to see on sale that weren't?

Not much... most of the stuff I buy on steam is a sale that sticks out and says "buy me stupid!"

But based on my wishlist alone, I was hoping for a better deal on the HAWX games (they were only 25% off, and HAWX 2 was 33% in the daily deal ), and I was hoping for more of a discount on Civ 5.

But it doesn't matter, I got Fallout New Vegas for insanely cheap ($30-$25 GC that I got for free from filling out stupid surveys for the past year), so I can't complain.

Civ 5 is a fair point, but it's still too new has had too many good reviews + sales to expect them to do any drastic with it this soon. I bet we see a major weekend sale for it this spring or so once some of the big AAA titles start coming out.

I didn't even really look at the Steam sales, because there are about 40 games that I want to buy over the next year but none of them have been released yet. I probably would have bit on a ton of pre-sales if they were 15%+ off.
