Steam just downloaded a sizable patch...

I'm thinking Thursday it will start, but maybe tomorrow. I have lots of Gabe funny money to spend due to cards!
 
Clicked restart to update, and shortly after my computer was frozen, and eventually bluescreened (the first time this happens after I built it back in October).

Rebooted, and when I fired it up Steam won't load and just sit there at 'Connecting Steam account...."

Anybody else having a problem connecting? I'm guessing I'll have to reinstall Steam.

Nope, I just did the install/restart like 10 mins ago with no problems.
 
Just picked up CoH 2 last week for full price. Nothing else really interested in🙁.

I kinda want Shadow Warrior...

same with the hang but seems to be working after killing the process and restarting steam.
 
I'm hoping for Max Payne 3 and the Family Guy Game

I want to buy both low - I can't buy Max Payne 3 on Amazon as I'm Canadian.

I tried with different PCs at home as well as at work and also with my mobile device (Samsung Note II). Paypal and CCs (2 separate cards) were the only payment methods available to me and attempted.

Still haven't managed to purchase anything off GMG to date...

You don't need a real address, you just need an American billing address. Use any random valid address (in New Hampshire or Delaware for best effect :whiste🙂 + your real cc info and it'll work.
I live in Belgium.

Yeah somehow this particular patch is acting out on me. Reboot and restarting steam just made the steam client stuck at "connecting.." and eventually crashed. Killing the process wouldn't even work and I had to restart the computer.

I had to reinstall steam (picked 'repair'), and it went through the whole update again, and then this time I just left it at "connecting..." after it's stuck there for a minute or so. I got back a few minutes later to find that it finally went through.
 
I think we're getting close. I ran accross a thread on the Steam forums that pointed out that those "mystery cards" have been evolving over the past few days. I hadn't even noticed, but yes the physical appearance of the card had changed (it was just grey, now it's got dashes and squiggly lines).
