I'm very new to PC Gaming/Steam etc..and do have a steam acct. as well as I'm able to play games on my system.

I also have 3 HD's in my PC (1 SSD for OS/Programs and other 2 HD's for data) in which I moved (clicked/drag) all my Games stuff into my data HD.

When I run Steam, during any Steam file updates, it now saves everything on my desktop with folders filling up my desktop. I've managed to let Origin know where to install/update all gaming content, but can't seem to do this with Steam.

Should I just uninstall Steam and set the correct location from the get go or is there a better way to fix this?

(I'm trying to avoid using my SSD for gaming stuff as it fills up pretty quickly).

TIA!!

I don't understand what you mean with 'saving to desktop'

However, you can change the location easily.

Copy all contents of the 'steam\steamapps' folder somewhere else.
Uninstall Steam
Install Steam to your desired HDD
Copy the steamapps folder into it
Run Steam
All good.

Thanks Capt.
Looks simple enough. ;)

'saving to desktop' = all the application files (Steam Error, Steam Uninstall, + a few dozen other folders) to run steam gets saved on the desktop.

I appreciate your reply, will try it tonight.
