Steam help: bought Mount & Blade, "Failed to Contact Key Server"

So, bought M&B for $5 on Steam. I'm new to the whole steam thing, just bought my first game the other week when the X-Com pack was on sale, and decided to jump on this one too for $5.

Anyway, downloaded the game, it installed, and now when I try to start it says Failed to Contact Key Server. I deleted the file specified in the steam support, ran it again, still same result. My other games work fine. EVen deleted it and re-downloaded, same result.

I have an open support ticket with Steam but I am sure someone else has ran into this issue and probably could answer quicker than Steam. I don't know if this type of thing is game specific or its a general Steam problem or what.

Anyone have any ideas?

Valve apparently fixed this bug last night -- if you haven't already...

restart Steam --> right click on Mount & Blade --> Properties --> Local files --> Verify game cache.

Hopefully that should rid your problem...
