Been meaning to pick this up since it supposedly fixes a lot of the performance issues. The boxed version still chugs on my computer.

Wouldn't expect anything less from the folks behind Train Simulator. There are tons of free mods available though from sites like Avsim and Flightsim.com. They should work with the Steam Edition.

During the last Steam sale you could get the Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition + Cargo Crew + Dangerous Approaches Collection for $7.99. I jumped all over that deal so I could play it later.

Seems like it would be a fun game, but I just cannot get the hang of flight sims.
