How did it 'hack' your machine exactly, and more importantly, how did you remove said hack?

If you didn't remove it (no, just deleting the "knife.pdf" file wouldn't do it), that is most likely the reason.

Clean install the OS is the best course of action here.

it was named a pdf file but infact it was a download, i was stupid and said run as administrator and then my steam shut down and i was not able to access the website, i did remove the "pdf" but it was too late

Its entirely possible your Steam account was stolen. In addition to doing the clean install you need to contact Steam support and make them aware of the situation.

Also if you had any credit/debit cards stored in said account you should immediately report them stolen as well.

Finally if you did any banking/financial type stuff on your PC I would strongly suggest changing all your passwords immediately.

you wouldn't be Agent the quake player, no?

since you don't seem to be very knowledgeable of PC maintenance, i suggest a format + reinstall. make sure you have something to install from first ..

This. Reformat/reinstall. Change all passwords. Report financial accounts. Check financial statements.
