Killing Floor is also a very good deal at $7.

JC2 is a fun open world mayhem game, and there's a long thread on these forums discussing it if you want more info.

Metro 2033 was a good horror/survival game to play through once. I'll probably never play it a second time.

Beat Hazard is overpriced at $10 but a decent value at $2.50. It's the same basic concept as Audiosurf but in an Asteriods type package.

Killing Floor is a terrific zombie shooter if you have friends to play it with. I wasn't enamored with public groups - too much competition over kills instead of cooperation because you get experience for individual stuff instead of team stuff. If you play with cooperative types it's a really good game and earning rank gives it a lot of replayability.

Just Cause 2 is an awesome game at that price. I probably got at least 40 hours out of it. It's over the top in every way and awesome because of it. Almost like a Robert Rodriguez movie. Beat Hazard is ok. I got it with the indie pack over Black Friday. I enjoy is more then Audio Surf. But the music doesn't seem to have as much of an effect. I have no experience with Metro 2033.

Damn. Paid full price for Metro, and it was pretty short (i.e. not worth full price, but $10 is a steal).

I thought gamespot's review of Metro 2033 was actually pretty similar to my own thoughts: http://firingsquad.com/games/metro_2033_review/

It's short and there isn't a lot of replay value, so the $50 price point was a bit steep initially. For $10 that is a much easier pill to swallow, and I would say it is definitely worth picking up if the premise sounds good and you are actively looking for a game to play.

Great deal on JC2.... The storyline stinks, but it's a really fun open sandbox game.

Come to think of it, the only reason I stopped playing is because that bolopatch stuff stopped working at the last update - does anyone know if the patch works again?

Steam updates for you nowadays.

Can the OP edit?

Killing Floor is on sale! too. I picked it up....as I've wanted it for awhile now. TripWire is a fantastic dev to support.

Was Metro 2033 any good? I never got around to picking it up or even looking into it.

It feels a bit clunkiesh like Stalker games - which I liked.

You can't go wrong shelling out $10 for Metro 2033... if I remember right - it had a bit of ghostly encounters mixed with stalkerish type gameplay... and a very interesting ending too.

I'm liking Metro a ton. I grabbed it on an older Steam sale but just started playing for the treasure hunt. It reminds me alot of Stalker but less aggravating mechanics. I still need to finish any of the Stalker games but I think Metro will be my next complete game after I finish Bioshock 2.
