Steam/Counter Strike CZ

Hey guys,

For some reason i'm having alot of trouble trying to play some Counter Strike.

System:

AMD 2500 Barton
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
1 gig XMS Corsair PC3200
MSI Radeon 9800Pro (omega drivers)
Maxtor 250 gig Ultra kit

So it's not like my computer 'can't handle it'.....But i'll log into steam and try to join any game and within a mintue it will close the actual game screen and i'll be back out at the server menu, but steam would never close......I get no kick message or anything. Just a few minutes ago i actually got a 'Fatal Error' message that said something like this....

CL_Parse TEnt: bad type

and another like...

MAXLIGHTS STYLE: bad

I know the first one is right but not to sure about the second one. I used to play CS all the time for like 3 months without one problem, it was on another Account, but i don't think that would make a difference. Has anyone had a problem like this before, it's really annoying at this point.

PS. The only thing i could think of why i'm getting 'kicked' is having hacks, but i don't have any. And i've even deleted Steam and then installed it again......:disgust:

Thanks in advance,

Jordan

Does it happen exactly the same amount of time after you start each game?
Does it cause an event in event viewer?
What connection are you using?
What firewall?
What other software is running?
What Antivirus?
What updates?
What anti-malware do you use?
What temps are in your case?
What psu?
What are the RAM timings?
what are the voltages in BIOS?
what colour socks are you wearing?

I idle about 47C and game about 55C
PSU- Antec SL300S
RAM Timings- Active Precharge Delay 8
RAS to CAS Delay 4
RAS Precharge Delay 4

I can't offer a solution, but Steam updated both of my PC's last night, 04/05/05, with their new update and both of my PC's did the same thing afterward. I assumed it was the updates. Both of my systems are similar to yours, except I have nVidia video cards. I haven't had a chance to get them today to see if anything has straightened out. Good luck!

I just got Source last night and it hasn't 'kicked' me from one game yet.........so i'm not to worried about it anymore

Source is much better then CZ

Thx though
