Steam Controller

Anyone preorder one or otherwise excited about one? I'm not looking for it to replace my keyboard/mouse type peripherals, but for games that I use a gamepad in I think I will prefer it over my Xbox controllers.

I had a chance to hold a mockup of one and it felt great, so I figured I'd take the plunge and preordered the other night. Unfortunately it doesn't ship until November. I might have a SteamVR in my hands before it gets here.

I preorder one. Not because I expect them to be equal to a kb/mouse but because I game on a big screen and it's a serious pain for games that don't offer full gampad support...like Hitman Absolution, I had to pick up my wireless mouse just so I can select "play game" and then it was all gamepad from there....made no sense to have such a UI there.
Analogue is terribad with mimicking mouse movements. I've tried several mouse/kb emulators and it just flat out sucks. I had the idea of a trackpad or trackball replacing the right analogue stick many years ago and can't believe it took this long. Seemed like a no brainer to me.

Just being able to turn on my PC and play my entire library without having to pick up anything else would be awesome and brings the benefits of a console closer on a PC. I'm sure it'll take some getting used to and that's where many PC gamer's will fail with it becuuse most people don't like change and are too old to adapt to new ways of doing things.

Did anyone get their controller yet? They shipped out a bunch of controllers and Steam links already.

I just pre-ordered a couple from GameStop but I'm still on the fence. Xbox One controller feels really nice.
