Hi, I'm not sure if any of y'all are having this problem but everytime I try to run steam it always load up my login screen and after I put in my password it almost instantly I get this pop up.

I'm certain it's not a access issue as I'm giving Steam full access with my router and firewall . . . I even tried turning my firewall off and I still get the error which is annoying because I have a urge to play HL2 . . .

Anyone know how I can fix this? I would much appreciate it . . .

have this ever happened before? might want to try connecting to the internet directly without the router.

but anyways, you can just run HL2 using the shortcut: "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 220

I've tried using the HL2 shortcut . . . that takes me to the login screen as well.

This has happened before but I thought it was just a fluke . . . usually it's just Peer Guardian that was blocking Steam, but I don't have it running right now and I've disabled the Firewall . . .

I've even tried uninstalling steam and still I'm getting connection errors . . .

Okay so apparently it IS my router at fault . . . anyone know how I can set a static IP address with my Airlink+ 315W router? Whenever I try a static address, I can get Steam to work but my other programs can't access the net?
