Gabe Newell is on record as saying that he thinks Windows 8 will be a "catastrophe" and that Steam is working on a Linux port to "hedge its bets"
I'm guessing that Valve feels threatened by the Microsoft download store which will cause problems for Steam.
So if Steam comes to Linux, predictions? Steam on the mac is nice, but over half of my games don't work on the mac. Would Steam also have like a built-in crossfire WINE sort of deal going on that lets Windows games play on Linux?
Linux is good enough to use for most tasks. Why not?
