It's automated within games that support it. It was first introduced with Left 4 Dead, and as such, currently not too many games support it yet. Off the top of my head, L4D, L4d2, Trine, Zeno Clash, and Modern Warfare 2 support it. I know the upcoming Alien Vs. Predator will have cloud support as well, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head.
