Steam Bath etiquette?

Gravity

I just joined a health club that has many amenities, including a hot tub and steam bath in the men's locker room. I want to use the steam bath but am not sure about the protocol for such. Should I wear shorts in there? A towel? A bathing suit?

I know this sounds simple but I've never used it and don't want to look like a newb or llama doing so.

Thanks in advance,

Most people at my gym wear their gym shorts in the steam bath. Shirt if it's co-ed.

Nope, not coed, it's in the men's locker room.

In that case just your shorts.....your shirt would probably get soaked but if you're lying down or leaning against the wall, just remember lots of other guys without shirts have been doing the same thing, so you're getting their sweat all over you too.

towel only in the men's room, shorts if it is coed

why the heck would you wear a shirt in a coed steam bath?
