only me and my other roommate has this problem. We both have ati cards and we can only play cs like every other day. CS barely works because we always get the same error msgs. This sucks. I reinstalled it so many times and still get the same error. 🙁

I have an ATI card and am fine.

In fact, no problems with Steam what so ever. I think Steam is great.

i find it funny that before steam, when an update came out it would be 100+ mb and would take days just to find a decent host to download it from. now they are constantly updating cs/steam and fixing bugs with small updates (never more than a few mb) and people can't stop bitching because they can't play for a few hours while the server loads go down.

SteamStartup(0xf,0x13fb60) failed with error 1: Win32 StructuredException at 00FF326E : Attempt to write to virtual address 11728 without appropriate access rights.

that's just one of the 2-3 error msgs i get.

I really like Steam. The friends feature is awesome, and the way you can have server favorites and auto-joins is very cool. Maybe e-mail valve with your problems?

If you are running through a router, steam is probably only picking up your 1 external IP and it has problems with 2 copys of it running on one IP. If there is a known fix, I don't know it.

This guy thinks it is from port settings on a router like Rent suggested which makes sense. If you have a router try plugging straight into the modem for kicks. The only other thing I could think of off the top of my head is to try different (default MS) ide drivers.

I always get the retarded Debug Assertion Error: JIT must be enabled error. I tried reinstalling and reformatting and nothing works.

$hitty Steam.
