Stealth_C virus on win 3.1

Hello everyone:
A friend of mine has a virus depicted in the title block on his computer running Windows 3.1 and he has no virus software to remove it hence now I have it. Question: Can I run a windows 95 mcafee's emergency virus removal disk in his 3.1 system? This virus locks up the 32 bit drivers along with infecting the MBR and this Win 3.1 system itself has my hands tied alittle with a lack of general knowledge of the operating system.......... But I would like to free it up and install Win 95 for him.........best solutions?

That was a very nice reply mikelou26. :Q Being very helpful, aren't you?

HotWire, sorry but I don't know for sure. You'd probably need to make a bootable disk with the virus removal software on it, and then boot from the disk on that system.

Thanks guys and you "MikeLou"? somebody said a while back he didn't take his pills and maybe he was right.........anyway.......I used the Win 95 disk with Mcafee's latest dat files on it and it cleaned it up completely....it was basically do or die at that point...either it worked or I was cleaning the whole system out. I brought him up to Win 95 eventually and I now just hope it crawls a little longer for him.....
