Stealth CD Drive Covers

I did the mod on my cd drives where I removed the face of the drive and attached a drive cover that came on the case to the front of it, then I wired the button to the reset button on the computer (and disconnected the reset from mo/bo) . That has not been working as smoothly as I would like though, It dosen't go in smooth and falls off from time to time. I have seen a lot of cases now come with a stealthed cover where it flips open when your cd drive hits it. I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy just that part. I don't want to get a new case, just the drive cover that flips out and has the button extender. Anyone?

Lian-Li makes covers like what you're looking for... Only problem I see is they are made to go into their own cases, no some unknown brand case that you might have. Especially since you haven't mentioned what case you have, just that you have a Tt liquid cooling item in your system. With all that you've spent on the rest of your rig, why not get a high quality case?

I use to be really into modding, so I bought a no name server case and modded the crap out of it. Thats why I didn't mention a name. Although now Im looking for something that looks nice and is simple. My case is getting pretty rugged with all the cutting and hacking I have done on it. I am thinking of getting a Silverstone all metal case and get rid of the water cooling to replace it with a hyper6 heatsink or something similar. This was just going to be a temporary solution until I upgrade my whole case.

I just got an Antec P-160 case and not only is a quiet and cool, it came with 2 large and one smaller stealth covers. You can also order more.

The Lian-Li V series cases (like the V1100 I have) come with the stealth floppy cover as well as one optical drive cover JUST as you're looking for. You can also get additional ones in either silver or black really easily. I picked up two more to go over my second and third optical drives. I've not installed them yet since I've not gotten around to it. I'm also not 100% certain if I'll keep all three drives, or be going down to just two drives. I'm waiting for the PX-716 drive to be in stock where I'll be getting it... So far, they've had some inventory, but usually sell out before I can place my order.

Alternatively, you can always just paint them yourself. That's what I did...got a can of primer and another can of silver spray paint, put a few coats on...the drive matches my computer perfectly.
