I want to make steak tartare at home.

Any favorite recipes or tips?

as much as i find myself trying more and more food, i wont eat a pile of raw meat no matter how well you season it

but emeril prolly knows his stuff so give it a try

1 meat grinder
1 really good steak

insert steak in grinder
grind to taste
serve

Chives and mustard give a good taste. Make sure to get fresh and lean meat too.

I've tried steak tartare and could never get past the mindset that it was raw meat. The texture was funny too. If you're going to do it, season it VERY well and leave off the egg, that just makes it extra slimey.

Of course, steak tartare is for wimps, real men eat pork tartare. Let us know how that turns out for you. :shocked:
