Just saw in the news that a "Steak Brawl" broke out in a Pennsylvania Golden Corral when the restaurant allegedly ran out of steak while customers were waiting in line.

Video Here

I've never had this happen to me while eating at Golden Corral. Yes, I'd be pretty peeved, but the place has LOADS of other things to eat. Have any of you ever seen anything similar to what is happening in the video at a restaurant where you were eating?

Entitled rednecks with gotard toddler emotions fighting for shitty cuts of overcooked leather.
I was there just last week, not overcooked at all, just tell the grill guy to serve you a piece when you see it how you like it. Not terribly impressed with the rest of the food though, for $17 I'll just buy a sirloin and a spud and stay home.

I think the crowd was pretty diverse after seeing the uncensored version.
Admittedly, my definition of a "redneck" isn't limited to 'white trash living in trailer parks'.

It has nothing to do with the color of someone's skin, but how they speak with their actions. The people fighting in this vid are trashy, no matter what pigment they wear.

Never seen anything like this in a Golden Corral, and I don't really plan to be in one ever again.

That escalated quickly, from I may leave slightly hungry to my brain may get bashed in by a children's high-chair. They really raised the steaks there.

I have to admit, I'm not picky, and I do like their steak, but they've always had plenty of it....

That's for sure! ;)

The one time I ate there I tried their "steak" and was NOT pleased at all.... I mentioned that Hometown Buffet was also terrible but it least they have relatively tender and flavorful meats.

Unless tough and gamey beef is your thing I would suggest staying away.

They are cooking top sirloin, probably select grade, I was there about 2 weeks ago, since it was playoff Sunday it was very slow. I was annoyed by the tiny size of the plates, was this some sort of effort to try and get me to eat less?, it didn't work. Doubt I'll be back, for $17.50 I can buy and cook a better sirloin and baked potato.

I'll allow that I've actually seen POSITIVE reviews of a Golden Corral down south however the one they opened up here in Milford CT near the mall (ironically in the location of a former Hometown buffet!) was straight up disgusting.

It went from "grand opening" to completely gone in roughly a year.

That's probably par for the course. But there are many areas in the country that don't know any better when it comes to food.

With buffets people, (well me for one) tend to pack in all they can to get their $$'s worth, not exactly healthy. We used to have a Chinese buffet close to me that had crab legs too, people went nuts on them. The buffet would bring out a smallish bus tray and reload the stall but anyone in line piled on so much on past 5-7 people they were gone and they would wait 30 minutes or so to bring out more. True story, I was there once and knew I was too far back in line to get any so I covered my mouth with my hands and started coughing in a 1/2 way bent over position in a ruse to make people think I was about to hurl, it worked, the line vanished as I made a miraculous recovery and pounced on the now undefended crab legs!.

From what I remember of Golden Corral it had a lot of sauce heavy dishes, lots of carbs, breaded fish products, nothing we couldn’t make at home & make it better.

Yea, it's not very much any "gourmet" treat you probably can't make better it's more of "wow, i can go hog wild here!" kind of vibe.
