staying connected

our "network", such as it is, where i work, constantly requires one of the computers to be rebooted to connect to the internet. a page can be loaded and worked, then closed, then go to another site, and no internet. must reboot the machine to get it back. this does not happen with the 5 other machines on the network. is there some silly little setting that i'm missing that might make this happen? its embarq dsl thru their modem and a linksys router, all computers hard wired. any thoughts anyone? thanks zz03

Are the computers setup with a static or DHCP addresses? Are these networked so that all computers can see the others on the same network? I'm assuming they may be setup in a WORKGROUP and not a domain?

thank you. im not sure the answers to your questions, but i'll check it out at work tomorrow and post again. zz03
