This is for a 4-person family plan in the DC Metro and Richmond areas (with the phones being based in NoVA; I'm the only one in Richmond). We've had Cingular for the past two years, and our contract expires in about a week.
Cingular and Verizon are really the only ones we're considering; T-Mobile, Nextel, and Sprint look a lot worse, comparatively.
However, Cingular sucks, and they've f***ed us over (told us we could upgrade our phones for a reduced price with no contract obligations after a year, then once a year passed, told us that it was a year and nine months, and then they told us that we could extend our contract by two years and get new phones for the one-year contract price, but otherwise, no luck). But to all accounts, Verizon sucks as well. We're pretty much just wondering which sucks less.
