But... but.... he is for "change", he's not like all the other politicians out there, he wants to change Washington, right? ;) Lets face it, they are all the same, I figured Obama would do the same stuff McCain has been doing for a while now. Both sides slinging mud.

if I can paraphrase, we?ve seen these ads before. they?re the kind that play on peoples? fears to scare up votes... the question is not about sending emails. The question is ? what kind of judgment will you use?

FWIW . . . Bill Clinton is younger than McCain and doesn't have much computer knowledge, either.

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/carol-felsenthal/what-bill-clinton-and-joh_b_111094.html">As I wrote about Clinton in my recent book, and blogged here: When I was writing Clinton in Exile, I heard often about how technologically challenged the former president is. Aides to Bill Clinton told me that when they were in the White House Al Gore used to laugh at his boss's Luddite ways. "Gore used to make fun of Clinton all the time for not knowing how to turn on his computer," Elaine Kamarck, who had been a senior adviser to Gore, told me. Clinton still does not use a computer; he does not, and probably wisely, given his penchant for erupting into rages, use email -- his emails, news and blogs are printed out for him.

But once Clinton learned how to use the cell phone -- it took awhile before he figured out how not to cut people off mid call and got used to no longer having the White House operator place his calls in the middle of the night (his preferred time) -- he came to rely on his cell phone. Former aides such as Leon Panetta told me that Clinton by nature prefers to communicate by telephone (as opposed to email).

Hey, Joe Biden told a guy in a wheelchair to stand up....attacking people with disabilities is the new Dem line of attack.

32 seconds in. McCain: "I'm a illiterate that has to rely on his wife for all the assistance I can get"

Not crippled; illiterate. Yes it's a negative add. At least this one is true. Don't let me stop you, keep the crocodile tears flowing.

really, though, so what if the president doesn't use email?

honestly, I'd probably rather have my president *not* reading stupid chain letters and surfing youtube in the oval office.

From OP's link.

"Mr. McCain: They go on for me. I am learning to get online myself, and I will have that down fairly soon, getting on myself. I don?t expect to be a great communicator, I don?t expect to set up my own blog, but I am becoming computer literate to the point where I can get the information that I need ? including going to my daughter?s blog first, before anything else."

Again, it sounds like lack of interest in technology, and not a disability, is his main reason for not being very computer literate. In hindsight, though, probably a poor subject for Obama to attack him on, considering his injuries likely make it difficult for him to use a computer. His team should have done more research on the subject.

Guess his team didn't do enough research on the subject.

If Stephen Hawking can use one, so can McCain ....

McCain's not hiding behind his injuries on this, why is everyone trying to do it for him? Ever notice how it's next to impossible to find a picture of FDR in his wheelchair? He didn't want people to know he was crippled.

Dumb ad. Obama shouldn't go there, stick to issues that matter. He should leave that kind of trash to the RNC.

But you can bet the McCain campaign will take advantage of this blunder. Whatever it takes to win the election.

I actually don't think they will. We'll see.

Why couldn't/wouldn't they be related? If someone is physically not able to do something, or at least, has some difficulty doing it, theyre unlikely to develop interest in it.....

I mean, the governor of new york is blind, helps develop transportation policy for the state. I doubt he has much interest in Nascar.

Shouldn't you be slamming another Republican politician for having a physical disability?

He just flat out said in that interview that he doesn't use computers nor does he have an interest in doing so. How on earth does that ad attack his war disabilities?
