They are the biggest scam on earth, you pay upfront cost then taxed as if you paid full prices for it.
Ex. 100 plus taxes is 108 here in KS
So 100-50 is not 50, it's 58 ^_^ which only happens when you get the rebates
That's a if, sometime yes sometime no like russian roulette

Are you pissed off at the rebates or at the taxes? I'd say that most of the time a rebate situation doesn't go well, it's the customer's fault.

Ok so you'd rather pay $100 + shipping from somewhere else rather than $100 + $8 tax - $50 rebate?

Actually thats wrong. while a lot poeple mess up the rebate most of the time the rebate company just claims something is wrong even when there is nothing wrong.

As a matter of fact there are a few lawsuits pending trying to change how they are done. Some stores have totelly redone how rebates are recieved.

I hate rebates too. Because I shouldn't have to do all the BS involved to get a good deal, and I don't. A lot of times I will simply ignore rebates, unless its $50 or more.

6-8 weeks is just unacceptable. This is too long so you can't return for a refund due to lack of upc code cut out to give to them, that's one reason. two, you probably forget after a month or so that you ever had any rebates coming.
They are hassles because most people aren't intelligent enough to even do rebates filling and often not honered if everyone does it properly.
In short, rebates are for idiots or fools who are just so gullible lacking any intelligent whatsoever :D
Fool me once yes, fool me twice but no 3rd time, sorry. :|
I dunno I just don't feel good about someone holding onto my money, kind of like yanking my chain to jerk me around for the hell of it.

i've saved thousands over the years just shopping online for really low priced stuff why bother with name brands and retail price with a string attached?
