Statup and Services Question

Is there an easy way to check and see if the programes listed on the msconfig startup tab and under services are nessary programmes or if its a program I could do with out as a startup or service program?

Search google for black viper windows services. There's a site with a long list of things and what they are. BTW, start->run "services.msc" may also be of interest to you.

Hitting the "disable all" button on the services tab of MSconfig will not disable items that are absolutely required for boot so you can experiment at will without worrying about fvcking yourself.
