Stats Idea for you Statsaholics

I have no idea if this could even be done, and even if I did know, I couldn't do it. Here's the thought I had though.

Isn't there some way you could put your user stats for your project, such as Seventeen or Bust or SETI or whatever project you do, onto your desktop, similar to the way CoolMon puts info on your desktop?

Maybe this is already possible. Any thoughts, or anyone that could write something up to do this?

Seti stats can be done for CoolMon.

Something such as SoB stats would probably not be too difficult, all you'll need to do is parse a web page to do so and pull the relevent info...🙂

Shouldn't be too hard. You could get a cheap fix by setting it to use the bottom ~four lines of sob.log, but that's a rather cheap and nasty method 😛

DCMonitor can monitor SoB and output the info to a webpage... coding a vbscript to parse it would probably be pretty easy.

There's an mIRC script that does Folding@Home stats... maybe the sourcecode for that could be examined and reverse-engineered to provide coolmon stats for F@H users. Of course, I'm so stingy with my CPU time, that I don't run any "cool" programs or fancy themes, because I don't want to take any extra time away from my DC proggies (sometimes I even feel guilty listening to MP3s for very long periods). 😱
