Static with my SoundBlaster! and Win2K

I recently upgraded from 98se to 2K (with SP2), but now my SoundBlaster card sounds like sh*t. Static, squeals and pops. I loaded the latest drivers from Creative then reloaded the 4-in-1 drivers, but it's still terrible. The MS drivers are no better. I had absolutely NO problems with the SB and 98.

Anyone have a solution aside from dumping the card? I'm sure I'm not alone in having this problem.

I had the exact same problem a few months ago. I just went ahead and used the onboard sound and it actually sounded a little "cleaner" than sblive. I know that this probably didn't help you but you are not alone.
