Got Logitech Z560's and a Abit NF7-S V2. When I apply treble and bass static becomes noticeable in music. This normal or could there be something wrong somewhere? I have everything muted other than the wave/master volume.

Any ideas? Would thicker wire really help? Think I'm using maybe 18-20 gauge wire but not sure.

sounds like to me you are overloading speakers. I don't think thicker wire will do a thing unless you are pushing some major amps like a real 300 or more.

Where are u adjusting the bass? On the speakers or on onboard sound? If your not using onboard sound what kind of sound card do u have?

If it's when you're turning knobs on the speakers, they could just have "dirty potentiometers," a common problem on old analog stereo gear. Turn off the speakers then rotate the knobs back and forth a few times to possibly clear it up, or just ignore it, it's harmless.

lite poppin/cracklin but not constant just on certain parts of the song. I don't touch my speaker controls. I set the bass to about half way on the pod and same for the volume. I use the slider in Nvidia tool to adjust the treble/bass. Using onboard soundstorm. Whats cheapest but decent PC speakers that offer optical out?
