Static noise coming with cpu activity

I recently installed a hard drive, and when I rebooted to Windows I began to hear a slight squeaky staticky noise coming out of my speakers every time I run a program or do something that uses a noticeable amount of CPU time, or perhaps it is disk access. I'm pretty sure this has to do with interference, but I can't seem to figure out where. I moved my cables as far out of the way as I can with no luck. Any ideas or possible solutions?

where are your speakers in relation to other magnetic components? are your speakers sheilded?
