So I am trying to help out a npo who just got a new isp. They got dsl service and it is a static ip. I am trying to configure the router and i thought i was doing it right but cannot get to the internet. For example the piece of paper that they were given from the isp says
(note these are not the exact ip's just similar)
WAN IP Address: 65.131.114.12
LAN IP Address: 65.131.114.177
Usable IP Address Range: 65.131.114.178
Subnet Mask:255.255.255.252
DNS: 66.65.208.6 and 66.65.196.6
The have the modem from the isp going into a stock wrt54g inside of the wrt54g i just put in
ip: 65.131.114.178
subnet: 255.255.255.252
gateway: 65.131.114.177
dns: 66.65.208.6
dns: 66.65.196.6
I have left dhcp on. Is there anything else I might be missing or any suggestions? The router is giving out ip's and I can get into the router fine. The only issue is the router is not getting the connection. Yet if i bypass the router and go straight from connection to a computer with the above information it works no problem.
