static in speakers

hi guys, i noticed after overclocking that my speakers have a weak static to them...what can i do to eliminate it without sacrificing oc??

I've got the same issue. I have no idea what its caused by, I'm assuming its because I have on-board audio. I'm going to buy a soundcard hopefully that helps.

hmm good idea...since my pci is locked at 33mhz...i thought onboard sound isn't affected by oc?? its just the onboard sound is a really good one....only question is i hope it didn't permanently damage it

Another thing to do is mute your sound if you aren't listening to anything.

Turn down the speaker volume and raise the volume in Windows.
