At the expense of harming other, like the rich are - yes, they are rotten to the fucking core. They want to increase their profits, so, they see nothing wrong with laying off hundreds to thousands of workers. Lay offs in order to make more money - not just make money.

Or, they outsource manufacturing, at the expense of harming the environment and exploiting 3rd world labor - again, to make more money. More money that doesn't even create jobs here in the US.

Do you apply that same standard to small business owners?

You mean small business owners like the Koch brothers?

It was a serious question. Im trying find out if having money is so evil or if laying off people and either getting your products from out of the US or having your products manufactured out of the US makes you evil.

Dave, if you haven't noticed, poor people are about the only thing left in Michigan after it chased out all of the corporations.

Ah! So, when your big evil corp made a 50% profit for that pay peroid (due to tax loop holes, tax cuts, any operational savings, etc) you saw an increase in your pay check!

Why, that doesn't sound like it's an evil corporation at all!!

Say, provide me with the coordinates of where your Earth is located, sounds like heaven! But, you do sound like an ungrateful bastard - since the wealthy, powerful and corporations on your Earth really do trickle down what they benefit from on the top.

lol, show me a corporation that had a 50% profit.

Regardless, so what?

EIC is not raising taxes. I'm sure there are better examples such as cell phone tax, sales taxes, property taxes, and anything else you do taxes going up but EIC is social welfare.

Dave, if you haven't noticed, poor people are about the only thing left in Michigan after it chased out all of the corporations.

They didn't chase anybody out- they just weren't the low bidder in the Repub sponsored race to the bottom. They couldn't be. Maintenance & renovation of infrastructure always costs more than a new factory on virgin land, and sweetheart deals with state & local govts just make it better. As costs rise for their current hosts, they'll get dumped, too.

Of course Repub controlled states are raising taxes at the bottom, cutting them at the top. It's all part of the trickledown job creator philosophy of deception.

Gotta luv the way Righties are so quick to jump up on their judgmental high horse about how people who don't contribute shouldn't reap rewards. They ignore and deny the structural changes in our economy brought by offshoring & automation. The business elite simply doesn't need as many of us working as in the past to make record profits. That phenomenon just hasn't come knocking on their own front door.

Eventually, it will- that's how the tragedy of the commons works out.
