Driving is not a constitutional right, it is a privilege. Thus government has a right to enact measures to ensure that those who are driving meet their safety requirements such as being able to read signs written in English.

Requiring that people understand and speak English which is the language spoken in the US is not a form of "oppression" unless you are a bleeding heart, knee jerk liberal.

What I wrote in no way whatsoever insinuated it was government oppression. I didn't even state whether I am opposed to the legislation or not (for the record, I'm not). For him, that is about a dozen too many. So on Tuesday, the Cumming republican revised and got approved a bill that would make English the official and only language someone can use to get their license.
