Anyone think anything important will be announced?

I just heard that Gonzales is going to be the odd man tonight. Let's really hope nothing happens at the capital building tonight...

He has a plan for oil that will cut our dependency by 20%.

I would like to see our consumption levels for the last 10 years and see how much they have increased/decreased.
If they have remained constant then maybe a plan could help, but if they keep getting higher then I don't think a plan will cut back, but rather slow down.

Any idea what his plan for oil is? More nuclear plants? Alaska? No clue here.

Apparently part of it will be more ethanol related research. As long as the focus isn't on more ethanol from corn I'm fine with that particular suggestion.

Trend is up.
Typically oil consumption matches GDP growth.

Global oil consumption was down a little bit this year for the first time in 20 years (I heard on the radio at least).

For those wondering the EIA has some really great reports on past/future consumption and past/future prices, etc.

How do you say, "Iraq... 9/11... world changed... gotta be strong on iraq... freedumb... WMD..." in spanish? ;)

I'll be surprised if it's anything other than another sad attempt to tie "terrah" and 9/11 to the war in Iraq.

Anyone want to play a drinking game? Take a shot for every time Bush says "terrorist" or 911.

Heh... watching it on HD NET now. :D:beer:

As long as you can put up with Dan Rather to get what looks to be the better video quality...

Well then you have more balls than I.
;)

Check out ABC
