Pay up biotches!!
The Web page debuted Monday at www.gatax.org with a list of the 400 worst offenders ? 200 individuals and 200 companies owing the state between $95,000 and $2.3 million apiece. Among them was late hip-hop star Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes of DeKalb County, who was killed in 2002 in a car wreck in Honduras.

The Web page, created by the Georgia Department of Revenue, indicates that Lopes, a member of the popular group TLC, owed the state $556,415 in income taxes, penalties and interest.

Also on the list was Rafters Bar and Grill restaurants, once owned by Mike Kenn, the former Fulton County Commission chairman and Atlanta Falcons player, with a tax debt of $564,813.

Hilarious. :D

There were a few state legislators on the list as well, but they paid up ASAP to avoid having their names published. :p

Heh, nope. Gotta pay for this.
[BadIdea] I'm sure you'll win enough while you're there to pay for everything...just put it all on your AMEX for now. [/BadIdea]

Better yet, except tell them that you were interested in bringing a million plus in new business their ways until you did some investigative work, and they can't even pay their own taxes.

I think GA should require any company oweing taxes to post how much they owe at their company for everyone to see and require them to answer the phone saying hello this ... at ... and we have screwed GA out of X in taxes.

I thought you went to jail if you did not pay your taxes?
why didnt they just arrest them?

maybe I should rethink this taxes thing since they practically take 35% of what I make.

So, for the businesses are these State Income taxes or Sales taxes? Just curious.

They note what kind of tax debt has been incurred by each person/business although most of the businesses are sales & use.
