We shouldn't forget that whatever's being done by the Trump administration has as its top priority keeping Trump in the White House for another term and out of the hands of those folks who are looking to throw the book at him for crimes he's already known to have committed and those they'll find out for sure once Trump doesn't have his job to keep him insulated from prosecution.

They use the Firehose of Falsehood. Their specific intent is to continually lie so that most people can't identify what is truth and what is false. The confusion and apathy it breeds is the goal.
