That's the Obama administration, just fulfilling his campaign promise to restore the U.S. reputation around the world. Saying "fuck the EU" was just Obama's superior diplomacy in action, putting those influencing skills to good use.

Saying that may lower the reputation of the US in the EU, but raise it elsewhere. The US needs to put away the idea that it's a Western country and that it's aligned with Europe. This is a clear sign of American interest in new alliances with the emerging first world.

Russia doesn't spy! They are a beacon of liberty and shirtless hunting.

Like we have the moral standing to talk about spying, at least on our own citizens. The NSA's abilities and immunity must be a wet dream for Putin.

I don't care about foreign spying at all, any county should be engaged in that, and has been since the days of Babylonia I assume.

That's true. US is becoming a third-world country. Just look at the demographics, infrastructure and huge and increasing gap between poor and rich.

What? You're the one trying to derail.

This thread was derailed when you posted.

Sorry that's a little inappropriate.

You made some assertion about the EU that you have yet to support. Would you care to step up to the plate or do you just want to keep imagining you kicked someone's ass?

How many of the citizens themselves supported them? It's a violation of sovereignty.

so, because roughly half the voters don't vote for a winning candidate in any election, the winner is violating sovereignty by taking the seat?

you have some sort of learning disability.

Cato the Elder ended every speech with the phrase "and further, Carthage must be destroyed." (Carthago delenda est)

I propose that we change the law in the US to indicate that every speech given by an American official should end with "and further, fuck the EU."
LOL Works for me. It would no longer be news at least. And let's not forget these are the nations most of our ancestors risked their lives to leave.

is "leave" a euphemism for escaping debtors prison and criminal prosecution?

I never said that and you're putting words into my mouth. Read my post again.
