I ran a repair installation a few days ago, but after one use, the computer froze on startup. The specific screen is the "starting windows" screen, it also has an option to press F8 "for troubleshooting an dadvanced startup options for windows 2000", but when pressing F8, nothing happens. I tried to run a repair installation again, but I do not get the same options as I had a few days prior. I don't know why it doesn't give the same options, but both times the computer had a different problem. The first time, I got a blue screen with an error and the repair installation worked fine, retaining all my data and programs. The second time, it just freezes on startup, but the options for repair installation are not quite the same. These are all the options I get...

These are all the options I get, these are not the same options I had when I performed the last repair installation. My main objective is to maintain all my data in my Drive C. I have a ghost image of my operation system, I want to move all my important data from Drive C into Drive D before I install my ghost image. To do this, I need to get my current operating system to work and be able to transfer all the data.

Easy way, pull the drive and put it in a ubs enclosure or another computer, pull the data off, use the image to set the drive back up.
